Dia telah menyiapkan sejumlah uang yang akan dia berikan kepada beberapa orang yang ditemuinya.
Pada suatu kesempatan dia bertemu dengan seseorang maka langsung saja dia menyerahkan uang yang dimilikinya kepada orang tersebut. Pada keesokan harinya tersiar kabar bahwa ada seseorang yang telah memberikan sejumlah uang kepada seorang penjahat beringas. Mendengar kbr ini si dermawan hanya mengatakan” Ya Tuhan aku telah memberikan uang ke pada seorang penjahat”
Di lain waktu, dia kembali bertemu dengan seseorang, si dermawan pada hari itu juga telah berniat untuk melakukan kebaikan. Ia dengan segera memberikan sejumlah uang kepada orng tersebut. Keesokan harinya tersiar kabar bahwa ada seseorang yang telah memberikan uang kpd seorang koruptor. Mendapat kabar ini si dermawan hanya berkata “Ya Tuhan aku telah memberikan uang kepada koruptor”.
Si dermawan ini tidak berputus asa, ketika dia bertemu dengan seseorang dengan segera dia menyerahkan sejumlah uang yang memang telah disiapkannya. Maka esok harinya pun tersiar kabar bahwa ada seseorang yang telah memberikan sejumlah uang kepada seorang kaya raya. Mendengar hal ini si dermawan hanya berkata. ” Ya Tuhan aku telah memberikan uang kepada penjahat, koruptor dan seorang yang kaya raya”.
Sekilas kita bisa menyimpulkan bahwa si dermawan ini adalah seorang yang “Ceroboh” Asal saja dia memberikan uang yang dimilikinya kepada orang yang tidak dikenalnya, padahal jika dia lebih teliti maka niat baik nya itu bisa lebih berguna tersalurkan kepada orang yang memang membutuhkan.
Tapi ternyata suatu niat yg baik pasti akan berakhir dengan baik, pun begitu pula dengan “kecerobohan” si dermawan.
Uang yg diberikannya kepada sang penjahat ternyata mampu menyadarkannya bahwa di dunia ini masih ada orang baik, orang yg peduli dengan lingkungan sekitarnya. Penjahat ini bertobat dan menggunakan uang pemberian sang dermawan sebagai modal usaha. Sementara sang koroptor, uang cuma-cuma yg diterimanya ternyata menyentuh hati nuraninya yang selama ini telah tertutupi oleh keserakahan, dia menyadari bahwa hidup ini bukanlah tentang berapa banyak yang bisa kita dapatkan. Dia bertekad mengubah dirinya menjadi orang yang baik, pejabat yang jujur dan amanah. Sementara itu pemberian yg diterima oleh si kaya raya telah menelanjangi dirinya, karena selama ini dia adalah seorang yg kikir, tak pernah terbesit dalam dirinya untuk berbagi dengan orang lain, baginya segala sesuatu harus lah ada timbal baliknya. Dirinya merasa malu kepada si dermawan yang dengan kesederhananya ternyata masih bisa berbagi dengan orang lain.
Sahabat, tak akan ada yang berakhir dengan sia-sia terhadap sutau kebaikan. Karena kebaikan akan berakhir pula dengan kebaikan. Hidup ini bukanlah soal berapa banyak yang bisa kita dapatkan, tapi berapa banyak yang bisa kita berikan.
